We’re running a free product photography workshop as part of the Shrewsbury Open Studio event on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June.
The aim is to help people who don’t have access to a fully equipped photography studio to photograph their products better, making the best of the equipment and facilities they have.
Since we moved our studio to Shrewsbury from Birmingham, we’ve met a lot of people who create great products and can’t necessarily afford commercial rates for a photographer (actually it’s an investment :-). We’d like to help by sharing some of the tricks and tips we’ve picked up ourselves during the course of our career on the basis that if you’re going to do it yourself, you may as well do it well! We’ll be passing on tips that will improve your photography regardless of location and facilities.
These workshops will be a trailer for a series of commercial workshops we plan to launch in the autumn. We’ll be offering courses on Video for Social Media, and of course Photography. Studio, Location and Arial. Note for Drone enthusiasts – it’s all about the story!
We’re really looking forward to these events – not least because it offers us some much needed balance. Much more time spent behind the camera will rob us of any social skills we once had!
To the point – the free product photography workshop will begin at 2pm on Saturday & Sunday. We expect it to last for two hours and will photograph jewellery and glassware on the Saturday and food on the Sunday.
We’ll see you there!
